You thought I was kidding about the nature photos? Ha! I was attracted to the blue green leaves and the shades of hot pinks. Before I go spreading my seasonal melancholy of “I don’t have time for this…that…whatever)…..
Good news – my little Buffalo Boo (my little white dog) is on the mend and CONE FREE! Weeeeee – she’s like a little baby puppy again filled with happiness and spunk. Except we still can’t let her do anything exciting because her knee is still all broken and oozy.
Here’s a bit of Lauren Alexander trivia….did you know I have another dog? Her name is Jovie. And she’s not mine. Well, she wasn’t supposed to be. But after a year she’s kind of grown on me.
Here’s “the other dog”:
Happy Thursday, folks! The weekend is right round the corner…. if you go shopping, remember:
I don’t know if it is the end of the school year beginning of the summer transition that has me feeling a step away from mental breakdown or I simply drink too much coffee in the morning. Either way, I find myself in serious need of some painting time this Saturday morning. When things get a little wonky you gotta straighten out somehow and painting is a great way for me to do it. These very little paintings are perfect for a morning meltdown aversion. Now if you’ll excuse me I am going to make more coffee…
Well, today’s the day. I’m no longer in my twenties. I’m thirty. Thirty and flirty, I say. Gotta put a positive spin on it – even if it means chatting up a sculpture of Ben Franklin in Kansas City’s most tourist-friendly Plaza area yesterday. Excuse my horrible morning hair – I had just woke up from a fabulous night on the town with my girlfriend. We wined and dined together and treated ourselves to decadent desserts and extremely comfy hotel beds. I will think of that bed often. So snug! I’m happy to be thirty and looking forward to the rest of my life. Who knows what I’ll do next…maybe I’ll live the dream and have a daily schedule like Ben Franklin:
My daughter made a bunny craft at our favorite neighbor’s house. A few days later she decides that it is really great and she should share her expertise with the world. She got as far as the materials list in her tutorial. She’s eight. Give her a break. I am so proud that my crafty-project-oriented personality is rubbing off on my little princess. Normally she isn’t terribly excited about art or what I do…but I can just see it now…Mom and daughter crafty queens….So in case you are in the market for a fun, fuzzy bunny craft have we got the project for you! At least the materials… Enjoy!
