About

From Small Things is the name of a collection of artwork from Lauren Ingraham Alexander.

Lauren is an artist living outside Kansas City in Kansas. With a love for design and color she creates her own world on paper.

If not painting, Lauren spends her time teaching art to elementary age students in public school and at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO.

Lauren got her start selling artwork  in 2006 when a friend recommended she start making small trading card sized paintings. Selling small paintings opened the door for artwork of all sizes for people worldwide.

Her first love is watercolor. Most of her work centers on the nature, family, or food.

But then, she loves to throw a curve ball every now and then.
